Over the past few years, a new and young pop star has risen and gained fame, mainly due to her role as Hannah Montana. This pop star is Miley Cyrus. Miley is a singer and has three albums; the third and latest one is called The Time of Our Lives. What is so great about this specific album is that it is suitable for all ages, and it also has some advanced and critical concepts which makes older people also like it. Many Disney Channel fans and children have anticipated this album for a long time because they were already fans of Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana, and many others became fans of Miley Cyrus after hearing her newest album, The Time of Our Lives.
The Time of Our Lives has less than ten songs, so it is not considered a full length album, instead, it is classified as an extended play (a vinyl record, CD, or music download which contains more music than a single, but is too short to qualify as a long play.) Miley once again throws a little musical magic in her single "Party in the USA", where she amazes everybody by her amazing piece of skill and talent that she demonstrated in the song. This album, though, is leading more into the image of Miley Cyrus and reaching away from the image of Hannah Montana. "Party In the USA" is her top artistic achievement so far being very effective in its combination of upbeat lyrics with a reflective, mid-tempo feel in the music.
The other songs in The Time of Our Lives are just as good as "Party in the USA", the main theme of the whole album is that people should concentrate more about now and worry less about the future, mainly living everyday as if it was your last. However, some people disagree on this matter as they see it sets a bad example for children and encourages them to ignore important things and chores they have to do every day.
What added a bit of flavor to the whole album is the song "Before the Storm" which featured the Jonas Brothers. This naturally drove the Disney Channel fans crazy, becoming even more excited about this album.
